SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Scotch Plains Lady Raiders beat North Hunterdon, 2-1, on Tuesday and advance to the next round in the State Tournament.

Freshman Leah Klurman, who scored three goals against Union on Oct. 20, put the Raiders on the board in the first half. She now has six goals and four assists this year. Lizzie Ley scored the second goal, which put Scotch Plains-Fanwood ahead for good.

"North Hunterdon is a very good team," said head coach Kevin Ewing in an interview with TAPintoSPF. "We did not come out with our best effort, but were able to get the go ahead goal."

"Piscataway is a very good team," Ewing said. "It will be another tough game."
