SOFTBALL: Scotch Plains-Fanwood Upsets Millburn, 13-6, in State Tournament

MILLBURN, NJ -- Scotch Plains-Fanwood pounded out 15 hits and 13 runs in a 13-6 upset victory over sixth-seeded Millburn in the first round of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 tournament in Millburn.

Quinn Kekelis, had two hits, including a double and three RBI, to lead the 11th-seeded Raiders to the win. Angie DiGiacomo, Sarah McEvoy, and Michaela Sullivan each had three hits and drove in a run. Lexi Brunetto added two hits and two runs scored. Jessica Waltsak pitched 7 innings for the win.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood will play No. 3 seed Watchung Hills in the quarterfinals on Monday.
