BRIDGEWATER, NJ- The Somerset Patriots will host a Sinatra Celebration at TD Bank Ballpark on Wednesday, August 3 during their game against the Long Island Ducks. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.

The event will feature a pre-game performance by Jack McDade on the main concourse beginning when gates open at 6:00 pm. The performance will include a 45-minute set of Sinatra classics.

“I am extremely honored and excited to perform at the Somerset Patriots’ first ever Sinatra Celebration. His songbook is one of the greatest in music history and to perform it for fans, and introduce it to new audiences, helps keep Sinatra’s music going strong,” said McDade.

McDade is a singer, comedian, and radio personality that was Dick Clark’s first musical guest on American Band Stand in July of 1956. He recently released an all-Sinatra album in celebration of the legendary singer’s 100th birthday in 2015.

In addition to the pre-game performance, the Somerset Patriots will have different Sinatra-themed promotions during the game including a Sinatra Name That Tune, Finish The Lyric, and a Sing-Off.

“Sinatra songs have a special meaning to all generations of music lovers. Whether you grew up listening to the music with grandparents or parents, or discovered it on your own, his songs still are just as relevant today as they were when they were recorded. His voice and music have stood the test of time and will continue to do so forever,” said President/General Manager Patrick McVerry.

The Sinatra Celebration also coincides with the team’s Senior Wednesday promotion where all senior citizens will receive $5.00 upper box tickets to the game.

The night includes Baseball Bingo sponsored by Bridgeway Senior Healthcare for the first 1,500 fans in attendance to win great prizes.

The Somerset Patriots and Gallo Wines have also teamed up to host a special Wine Tasting event on the suite level that night.

The Somerset Patriots won their Atlantic League leading sixth championship during the 2015 season. Tickets are now on-sale for the 2016 season and the schedule can be viewed at www.somersetpatriots.com.
