SP-F Business Organizations Present Scholarships at BBQ

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains and Fanwood BPAs hosted their combined annual scholarship presentation BBQ  and Networking night on Wednesday, June 24 at LaGrande Parke in Fanwood.

The SPBPA presented scholarships to:

  • Steven Davies (Cornell University)
  • Elizabeth Hom (The College of New Jersey)
  • Rachel Lavelle (Villanova University)

The SPBPA Ray Pardon Memorial Scholarship went to Auva Dariani (University of Delaware). The FBPA Peter Chemidlin Entrepreneurial Scholarship was presented to Arianna Correa (NYU).

All scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community service, and leadership.

"As the scholarship chairman of the SPBPA since we began giving scholarships in 1997, it has been my honor to see our association award more than $50,000 to deserving students from Scotch Plains and Fanwood," said Steve Goldberg of Family Investors. "Many of them have written to me during their college years expressing their gratitude in helping them further their education."
