SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Two Scotch Plains Fanwood PAL football teams will begin playoff action this Sunday when the New Jersey Suburban Youth Football League opens
the postseason.
The SPF B team Raiders (seventh grade) and the SPF C team Raiders (sixth grade)
both travel to Sussex County and will both play Sparta teams at Pope John High School in Sparta.
The B team, which beat Sparta, 22-8, to open the season on Sept. 15, will play Sparta at 12:45 p.m. That game will follow the C level game between SPF and Sparta at 11:30 a.m. The C team Raiders fell to Sparta, 25-6, on Sept. 15.
The B team ended the regular season at 7-1 while the C team finished 4-4.

The second round of the playoffs will be Nov. 17 and the Super Bowl title games for all levels, A through D, will be played Nov. 24.
The B team won the Super Bowl two years on the D level when the Raiders defeated Sparta in the championship game.
