SPFHS Tops Warren Hills, 35-20

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - The Raiders scored four touchdowns of 40 yards or more as Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School defeated Warren Hills, 35-20, in football on Saturday.
 
Kobe White led the charge by scoring touchdowns on the first two times he carried the ball, reaching the end zone on runs of 55 and 85 yards. Warren Hills scored on Evan Murray's 35-yard pass to Carsen Johnson. Murray was 12 for 22 for 191 yards, 2 TDs, and one interception. Warren Hills's Shane Deemer crossed the end zone on a 3-yard run, but the conversion failed, and the Raiders took a 14-13 lead into the lockerroom at halftime.
 
 
In the third quarter, Jordan Jones caught 55 pass from Marquel Taylor, who completed two of five passes for 63 yards and a TD on the day. Kobe White added another TD run to finish with over 200 yards and three scores on 20 carries. 
 
Warren Hills tried to make a late comeback, scoring on a second touchdown strike from Murray to Johnson. However, the Raiders iced the game on Jordan Jones' 15-yard interception return late in the game.

 
The Raiders are now 3-5 on the season.
