SPFK12 District Unveils Proposed 2018-19 School Calendar

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The SPFK12 school district has released its proposed 2018-19 calendar for the academic year. The first day of school will be Wednesday, Sept. 5. Thanksgiving Break will be Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23.

Winter Break begins Monday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve.) Spring Break will be April 15-19. Graduation Day will be June 20, 2019. The academic calendar also lists other holidays and single session days.

20: Last Day of School & Graduation
 
 
Three emergency closing days (snow days) are built into the calendar. If more than three emergency closing days are used, they will be taken from February 18 and then from Spring Break (working from April 15 forward.) If no emergency closing days are needed, schools will be closed on May 24.
