SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Just when we thought the days of wintry mix had passed, Mother Nature surprised Scotch Plains Fanwood with yet another snowstorm and sub-freezing temperatures on the first day of spring.

The 2-3 inches on the ground won't stay for very long as today's high will be near 47 degrees. There is a a slight chance of rain showers after 5:00 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
