SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Over 600 people gathered for the third annual St. Bartholomew Academy 5K Run/Walk on Saturday March 23rd.  Despite the cool temperatures, both runners and walkers enjoyed the scenic course that ran through the streets of Fanwood and Scotch Plains.

Rich Trigo, Fanwood's Chief of Police, along with his team, secured the course and made it a safe and fun morning for all.  The event was run by a volunteer staff of over 60 people and included a "Fun Run" for the younger children in the community.

The dignitaries that attended the event were Colleen Mahr, the mayor of Fanwood, Kevin Glover, the mayor of Scotch Plains, and Father John Paladino, Pastor of St. Bartholomew Church.
