St. Bart's and IHM to Co-Host Men's Cornerstone IX Retreat

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ – The St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) parishes in Scotch Plains are co-hosting a two-day men’s retreat on Friday, March 11 into Saturday, March 12 at St. Bart's.

"The Cornerstone Retreat provides a concentrated atmosphere for members of both parishes to revitalize their relationship with God. It is an invitation to engage in quiet reflective time; to become more actively involved in one's spiritual development; and a time to meet new parishioners. In doing so, it enhances the building of community," according to the St. Bart's website.

"Cornerstone is an effective renewal process calling together members of the parish (priests, religious and laity) to experience personal conversion and Christian Community in the environment of a parish setting. There are opportunities for prayer, reflection, talks, small group discussion, and the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.”
