SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Under perfect late summer weather, the annual St. Bart's Italian Festival opened on Friday featuring food, fun, and games for all.

Sponsored by UNICO, the Italian American service organization, and St. Bart's, the feast offered new rides, familiar games, entertainment by local band Wolf Creek, and lots of great food.

The festival continues throughout the weekend, with Saturday looking to be a busy day because of the threat of Hurricane Hermine impacting New Jersey on Sunday and Monday.
