St. Bart's to Host Luminary Vigil on Saturday, Sept. 10, to Honor Victims of 9/11 Attacks

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church will remember those who lost their lives on 9/11 by lighting  3,000 luminaries -- one for each victim -- in front of the church following a special Mass on Saturday, Sept, 10, that takes place at 5:00 p.m.

The event is looking for sponsors who can help by providing $5 for each luminary candle. Donors will receive a prayer card bearing the name of a victim who lost their life on 9/11, a luminary with that person’s name will be placed on the grounds and proceeds will go to the WTC Memorial Golf Club Scholarship which provides college scholarships for students whose lives were affected by the events of 9/11.
