FANWOOD-SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- It seems nearly everyone has a “New Year’s resolution,” but statistics indicate that less than a quarter of them are kept. To encourage individuals and families in our community to make their resolutions a reality and to promote healthy living, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA will host a "Try The Y Week" from January 1-7.

Individuals are invited to experience the Y (or try something new) for free and take an adult or special intro fitness class or try out youth programming. Registration is encouraged.  For a complete listing of "Try The Y Week" activities, please visit fspymca.org or visit the Y’s Member Service Desk.

Individuals who join as a member during "Try The Y Week" will have the joiners fee waived. Plus, new members and existing members who scan in that week will be entered to win a free 3-month membership or a Kindle Fire HD.

The Y is the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. For information on membership or programs, or to request a schedule of classes, please call the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA at (908) 889-8880 or visit the Y’s website at www.fspymca.org.  Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
