Are you in the market to buy a home now or in the next year? Whether you are a first time home buyer, looking for a larger home, considering downsizing, or anything in between, here are a few steps to a successful home purchase.

Determine what you can truly afford.
If you’re getting a mortgage, speak to a mortgage lender with a reputation for good customer service and timely closings. Apply for a pre-approval, the process in which a lender reviews your financial information—like your credit report, W2s and bank statements.

Determine house features.
Decide which house features are must-haves. Make a list of what you absolutely must find in a home, such as number of bedrooms and bathrooms, yard space, proximity to work and other places you frequent, and whether it's move-in ready.

Now for the fun part: house hunting!
Browsing online resources for available homes in your area is a good place to start, and can help confirm whether your budget and house must-haves are reasonable in light of what’s for sale. Working with a real estate agent who knows the area you’re looking in is key to the home search.

That’s just the beginning of the home buying process. There are many more steps to it, including getting the offer accepted, attorney review, home inspection, home insurance, etc before the closing.  A real estate agent can help you navigate through this process from start to finish.

If you or someone you know would like to learn more about the home buying process and pick up useful advice right from the experts, please join us for a Free Home Buyer Night.

There’s no selling, no commitment, simply the best opportunity to learn from leading professionals everything you need to know to buy a home.

During the Home Buyer Night, you’ll walk away with an invaluable education in exactly what it takes to buy a home - whether you’re ready to buy now or in the next year.

Capitalist or Communist?

Karl Marx may have been the pioneer, but many other Jews were also involved in the struggle for communism, particularly in the early days of the Russian revolution. Personally, I don’t think that we have any apologies to make for this phenomenon. Having suffered unbearably under successive oppressive regimes, many of those political activists genuinely thought communism would be better ...
