FANWOOD, NJ -- This Wednesday from 5-8 pm help support Ela Ryan's Relay for Life Team by eating at Nick's Pizza, 42 South Martine Ave.  in Fanwood. 10% of all proceeds will be ultimately be donated to the American Cancer Society.

An employee at Nick's, Ela has become known as the "Cannoli Doctor" for helping Nick's revamp its entire cannoli sale lineup.

"Ela came to us with a real passion for making cannolis and making them the right way," said Rob Watterson of Nick's Pizza. "We searched far and wide for the best cannoli flavors we could find and let her do the rest."

In the span of just a few months, Nick's has sold literally thousands of flavored cannolis. From Thanksgiving and Christmas parties to the Mayor Colleen Mahr’s Reorganization luncheon, Nick's has catered cannolis for a wide variety of parties and events. "The Cannoli Doctor" is called in for the major jobs.

"Helping the Cannoli Doctor's Relay for Life team is a no-brainer,” Watterson added. “She pours her heart and soul into what she does, and she really wants to raise as much money as possible for her team."

Relay for Life is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event is 6-24 hours in length, and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Team members try to raise as much money as possible through various fundraisers until the main event. All proceeds will be combined after the main event and donated to the American Cancer Society.
