SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD -- The Fanwood Scotch Plains YMCA Swim Team participated in the 13 & Over Silver/Bronze Championship which was held on March 4th and 5th in Hightstown, NJ.  

13-14 Girls:
Hope Best placed 7th in the 50 Free. Chloe Howell placed 3rd in the 500 Free, 8th in the 500 Free and 10th in the 100 Free. Aislinn Mooney placed 8th in the 400 Free. Angela Panikiewsky placed 10th in the 200 IM, while Rebecca Ronnen took 7th in the 400 IM and 8th in the 200 IM.

13-14 Boys:
Brandon Cortez placed 5th in the 200 Free, 7th in the 100 Fly, 7th in the 500 Free and 9th in the 100  Breast. Akhil Gundra placed 1st in the 200 Free, 5th in the 200 Breast, 8th in the 50 Free, 9th in the 100 Free and 10th in the 100 Breast. Brandon Jawor placed 3rd in the 100 Back, 5th in the 100 Fly and 9th in the 500 Free. Sean Merkle placed 4th in the 200 Breast. Jason Mongiovi placed 8th in the 50 Free, 9th in both the 100 Back and the 100 Free. Dylan Negron placed 10th in the 200 Back. Joshua Schwartz finished 8th in the 200 Fly and William Yu placed 3rd in the 100 Breast.

Aubrey Bagdonas placed 3rd in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 100 Fly. Hannah Davis placed 5th in the 50 Free. Nina Paradiso placed 4th in the 100 Back. Amanda Pyle placed 3rd in the 400 IM and 4th in the 500 Free. Ellie Richard placed 4th in  the 200 Breast, 4th in the 400 IM, 9th in the 100 Breast and 9th in the 100 Yard Back.

15-19 Boys:
Virendra Ghate placed 6th in the 100 Fly and 6th in the 200 IM. Dominic Markwant placed 1st in the 500 Free and 2nd in the 100 Back. Tomas Moore placed 1st in the 100 Free, 3rd in both the 500 Free and 50 Free, and 9th in the 200 Free. Kieran Scanlon placed 4th in the 100 Back, 7th in the 100 Fly and 10th in the 200 Fly.
