Fellow sophomore, Adam Mayerson, celebrated his 16th birthday in style, cruising past Murphy Collins in their 3rd singles contest 6-2, 6-1, for his 8th win of the season.

Red Bank Regional picked up wins at 1st singles where James Latimer defeated junior, Ewan Jones, 6-2, 6-4 and at 2nd doubles as Ian Birn and Ford Zacks beat junior, Ashwin Anandacoumar, and sophomore, Nirmit Damania, 6-2, 7-5.

The reward for Coach Gary Wasserman's squad is a quarterfinal matchup next Tuesday vs. #1 seeded, and current 4-time defending state champions, Millburn.

When asked about his team's effort, Wasserman said, "Our players have much to be proud of.  They have developed their respective games throughout the season and to win a State Tournament match on the road is a well-deserved accomplishment."
