“The ABC’s of Candy” at Fanwood Library on Feb. 5

FANWOOD, NJ -- Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Fanwood Memorial Library presents The ABCs of Candy on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2:00 p.m. Candy bars are a favorite sweet treat for children and adults alike and there are varieties to suit every taste. Favorite candies have been created by combining the beloved chocolate bar with cherries, raisins, dates, nuts, marshmallows, caramel, nougat and toffee.
While the candy combinations come and go, a few steady favorites remain bestsellers year after year.  Get the inside story on familiar and not so familiar candies—one for every letter. Bring your sweet tooth! This program concludes with free samples of confectionery history.
The ABCs of Candy comes to Fanwood from The Museum of Early Trades and Crafts, located in Madison, NJ. The museum promotes the understanding of the history, culture and lives of New Jersey inhabitants from the earliest settlements through present day. The Fanwood library is pleased to offer The ABCs of Candy as part of its First Sundays series. These family programs run the first Sunday of each month and are sponsored by the Friends of the Fanwood Memorial Library.
For more information and registration for this or any of our programs visit or call (908) 322-6400.
