Third Annual New Jersey Makers Day at Fanwood Library on Sat, March 25

FANWOOD, NJ -- Community members of all ages are invited to the Fanwood Memorial Library for an exciting NJ Makers Day on Saturday, March 25. This free event is filled with New Jersey’s freshest innovations, creative efforts, and inspiring growth in the fields of science, technology, engineering, math, arts (STEAM) and more! 

Snap circuits, Arduino, 3D-pens, Button and Pom-Pom Makers and the big blue blocks are just a part of our Makers Day events. The program will run from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Registration is required.

The Museum of Early Trades and Crafts will be back at the library with “Bookin’ It”. Participants will learn the importance of books for all ages, and how books were originally made. They will make a variety of personal books, from original folios to creatively shaped books.

NJ Makers Day is a statewide event that celebrate and promotes the values associated with making, tinkering and STEAM-based learning. In 2016, NJ Makers Day drew over 40,000 individual attendees to more than 230 participating sites across all 21 counties in the state.
