SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ  -  The Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League Thrift Shop, 1741 East Second Street in Scotch Plains, will wrap up its spring season on Saturday, June 29.  The shop will be closed during the 4th of July holiday week.

Following the holiday hiatus, the Thrift Shop will reopen on Tuesday, July 9 for regular business hours throughout the remainder of the summer. The store will be re-stocked with fresh summer merchandise. Racks will be filled with in-season clothes for men, women, and children, bathing suits, shoes and sandals, purses and other accessories. The store will also offer a fine assortment of household items, linens, plus books galore for your beach or backyard reading pleasure.

Unlike most area thrift shops that close for the summer, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League Thrift Shop will be open as usual on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 AM to 2:30 PM, and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 AM to 1:00 PM.

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that has served our communities since 1974. Proceeds from the Thrift Shop are donated to area service organizations and used to support college scholarships for local residents. Since its founding, the Service League has donated over $1 million for local causes. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Service League, including membership, is invited to call 908-322-5420 or to speak to any of our friendly volunteers at the shop.
