Tony-Nominated Broadway Star Teaches Acting Workshop in Scotch Plains

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Tony Award-nominated Broadway, TV and film star Kevin Chamberlin came to Stage Craft Studio in Scotch Plains today to teach a Broadway Workshop.

Chamberlin is one of the few actors ever nominated for Tony Awards in three out of four acting categories: Best Actor in a Play (Dirty Blonde), Best Actor in a Musical (Seussical) and Best Featured Actor in a Musical (The Addams Family). He also received Drama Desk nominations for those roles. The actor made his film debut in 1995 by playing Charlie the bomb diffuser in "Die Hard With A Vengeance" and plays "Bertram" on the Disney Channel series, Jessie. A New Jersey native, he holds a BFA in Acting from Rutgers' Mason Gross School of the Arts.

"We'd like to thank Kevin for taking time out of his super busy schedule to be with us today. He is stepping into the role of The Wizard in Wicked on Broadway this Tuesday, so we caught him just in time," said Steve Graham, managing director of Stage Craft Studio.
