FANWOOD, NJ - Last Thursday was the "soft" opening of Twenty Five South, the greatly anticipated brick-oven pizza place that's in the same new building complex as CKO Kickboxing. After much consideration, Angelo Minniti, who manages Twenty Five South, chose the location "because it's close to home, there's ample parking behind the building and we've been longtime friends with the contractors who built the location."
The main focal point to the space is the fiery brick oven and the wall lanterns which are a warm and cozy contrast to the poured concrete floors.
Brick-oven pizza creates a unique smokey flavor and a crispier outside because brick heat seals more quickly and more evenly than a conventional pizza oven. Variety seems to be the key to their menu. "We are set on changing up the menu a lot with daily specials, including one or two appetizers, salads, entrees and specialty pizzas," said Minitti.
"We have 10,000 menus mailing out this week and, the Grand Opening is slated for the Saturday before Father's Day. After that, we're looking forward to getting settled in." said Minitti.
