SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Underground Strength Gym (USG), a preeminent provider of strength and conditioning training to athletes ranging in age from middle school students through adults, has entered into a strategic partnership with renowned soccer training and coaching school, European Football Coaching (EFC).

“This is an exciting partnership for us," said USG founder Zach Even-Esh. "We are best known for our work with wrestlers and grapplers, most evident in our work as strength and conditioning coaches to Rutgers University men’s wrestling team, but we work with both youth and adult athletes, male and female, who participate in a wide range of sports."

The strategic partnership will provide soccer athletes with several ways to improve. To kick-off the partnership, any Underground Strength Gym athlete and or any child and or sibling of an athlete who is a member at Underground Strength Gym or YETI MMA, will be able to take advantage of special discounted pricing of 50% off for EFC summer camps at Unami Park in Garwood. The camps are:

Andy Wary, head coach of Scotch Plains Underground Strength Gym located within YETI MMA and partnership director further went on to explain: “It is exciting to be able to work together with Dan and Neil and their EFC program out of our Scotch Plains, NJ location. Soccer is a physically and mentally demanding sport and we are excited to be one piece in the puzzle in helping EFC players reach their full potential as players and teammates. We truly believe that EFC is the best and we love to work with the best.”

“We at EFC are excited about what this partnership means for our athletes. We believe that developing correct movements and functional strength is a key part of becoming the best athlete and soccer player you can be. In a sport where every millimeter and millisecond can be the difference, correct form, strength and superior conditioning is essential. This is where the expertise of USG comes in – it is clear they have an unrivaled passion for developing young-athletes and we are confident this will be advantageous to each of our aspiring soccer players," according to Daniel Severn, co-owner and co-head coach at EFC.

USG will be offering a special discount of 15% to any EFC member who chooses to enroll in a Underground Strength Gym training program.  Additionally, during the winter season, USG and EFC will launch a bespoke program that includes both strength & conditioning as well as soccer training.
