FANWOOD, NJ -- Unforgettable Fire, the U2 tribute band featuring Fanwood's Craig Kiell on Bass, will play at The Strand Center for the Arts(400 Clifton Ave.) in Lakewood, NJ, on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
"UF" is one of the first U2 tribute bands in America, performing over 16 years in some of the most prestigious venues and nightclubs in the northeast. The band has formed a reputation among many to be one of the closest experiences to being at an actual live U2 concert.
Earlier this year, U2 guitarist The Edge and bassist Adam Clayton surprised the band by walking on stage and taking over for the tribute artists for a few songs during a Manhattan show. As reported by TAPintoSPF on July 30, the video went viral.
Drummer George (Larry) Levesanos is a founding member of the band. Singer Tony (Bono) Russo has brought Unforgettable Fire to a new level of authenticity and is regarded as one of the country's top Bono look-a-likes. In late 2002, bassist Craig (Adam) Kiell added his top-notch musicianship and stage presence to the band, Mick (Edge) Normoyle completed the last piece of its puzzle in its quest to have the truest, most authentic live U2 sound.
