SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- George Papas and Devine Eke, who starred on the basketball court during their years at Union Catholic High School, both had impressive games when the former Vikings went up against one another when Monmouth University played Radford on Tuesday night at Monmouth University in West Long Branch.

Papas, a 6-5 junior guard who graduated from UC in 2016, buried two three pointers, scored nine points, and had three assists to help lead Monmouth (3-5) to an 80-63 victory over Radford.

Eke, a 6-8 forward, finished the game with five points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots for Radford (2-4). Eke, who graduated from UC in 2014, played at Rider before becoming a graduate student at Radford this year.

Papas is averaging 6.8 points per game this season for Monmouth and is third on the team in both three-pointers made (11) and assists (17). Eke is averaging 7.2 points per game and leads Radford in both rebounds (6.8 per game) and blocked shots with six.
