It aims to provide elite training, instructional opportunities, college-career guidance and life lesson seminars led by former Olympians and current Team USA softball players.

Fuentes, who lives in Newark, is ecstatic with the opportunity she's been given.

"I found out last night that I was chosen,'' said Fuentes, whose said the love of baseball in her family was responsible for getting her involved in the sport at a very young age. "I'm just so excited,'' said Fuentes. It's a really big opportunity to learn a lot, improve, and make a lot of new friends. I want to take softball as far as I can, and this is something that can really help me. I can't wait.''
