Victorian Valentine: Sunday Feb. 3 at Fanwood Museum

FANWOOD, NJ - The Fanwood Museum, located on the ground floor of the Fanwood Train Station on 256 South Avenue, will hold a “Victorian Valentine Afternoon” on Sunday, February 3, from 2 to 4p.m. for the “young and the young at heart”.

Admission is free and children will have the chance to make a Victorian inspired valentine.The Victorian Gothic railroad station, built in 1874 for the Central Railroad of NJ, is now the current home of the Fanwood Museum.  The Museum is generally open the first Sunday of the month from 2 to 4 p.m.  and for special programs and events.

“Vintage and Victorian valentines from the 1860’s to the 1960’s” will be on exhibit February 3rd, to give us a glimpse of how the day used to be celebrated by sweethearts from the past.  To confirm attendance, please email joanmarie@prodigy.net.  You can also visit http://www.fanwoodmuseum.org to learn more about The Fanwood Historic Preservation Commission and to email confirmation of your attendance.
