SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- PSE&G is reporting two power outages impacting about 1,500 people in Fanwood and in Scotch Plains following violent rainstorms Tuesday night. 

Earlier in the evening, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Union County and other counties until 10:00 p.m. During the past week, more than 50 tornadoes touched down in eight different states in the Midwest, accoding to ABC News.

Weather.com is predicting temperatures near 80 degrees with humidity of 66 percent and a chance of thunderstorms for Wednesday evening. Similar weather is predicted for Thursday.
