SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood boys varsity volleyball team continued its magical season with a victory in the first round of the State tournament with a two set victory (25-20, 25-18) over Union.

The first year varsity team improved to 20-3 on the season and advanced to the next round of the tournament 

Among the standouts were Marcello Cappuccio, who had 8 service points, Braedon Cooke, who added 13 digs, 
Adam Glod, who dished 25 assists, and Ryan Metzger, who contributed 13 kills and 6 digs. Metzger had the game-winning point.
