EDISON, NJ -- The Middle School cross country team at The Wardlaw + Hartridge School in Edison surpassed individual and team expectations in a race against much larger public schools at the Greater Middlesex Conference Championships on Oct. 21.

W+H had four top-50 finishers last fall and doubled that total with eight in the top 50 this year. Bronwyn Russell of East Windsor led the girls with a third-place overall finish, completing the 1.5-mile course in 9:58. The girls put forth an amazing effort, narrowly missing the team podium finishing fourth overall.

Other W+H finishers in the top 50 included Shreya Dharayan of Edison (14th, 10:43), Jasmine Burney of Plainfield (25th, 11:01), Tenajah Eldridge of Plainfield (29th, 11:08) and Nelagh Matthews of Metuchen (45th, 11:32).

Sinai or Sanctuary?

And in the beginning, G‑d was homeless, and so G‑d asked His people to set Him up with some digs. Where does it say that? Well, nowhere, actually. But it does say that G‑d instructed Moses to tell the people, “They shall make for Me a Sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”

Now the question is, was G‑d really homeless? ...

February 20, 2018

Dear Editor:

As a 26-year-old Scotch Plains resident who cares more about the well-being of our town than about local politics, I am extremely disappointed that the Scotch Plains Democratic Committee leadership has decided to abandon Colleen Mahr in her run for Chair of the Union County Democratic Committee.

Mahr, who as Mayor of Fanwood for 15 years has worked closely with Scotch Plains ...

Valentine’s Day can be a wonderful time if ...
