EDISON, NJ -- Susan Swenson, Director of College Counseling at The Wardlaw + Hartridge School in Edison, announced that three W+H seniors -- Soorya Srinivas of Edison, Shreyas Heragu of Edison and Simu Singh of Monroe -- have been named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program.

A Letter of Commendation was presented to these scholastically talented seniors at morning meeting on Sept. 22.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2018 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students are placed among the top five percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the competition by taking the PSAT or National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
