Wardlaw-Hartridge Athletes Named to All-Division Teams by Greater Middlesex Conference


EDISON, NJ -- Multiple athletes -- two from Scotch Plains -- on four The Wardlaw-Hartridge varsity teams were named to their respective all-division teams by the Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) by the conference coaches.

In addition, three W-H senior athletes received special All-GMC recognition as standouts across all divisions of the conference: soccer players Diogo Ferreira of Elizabeth and Alex Garces of North Brunswick and tennis player Cecily D'Amore of Scotch Plains.

The following athletes were named to All-GMC divisional teams: Cameron Cabrera of Carteret and Diogo Ferreira (boys' soccer), Fiorella Doglio of Carteret, Alex Garces '16 and Lacey Gress of Linden (girls' soccer), Cecily D'Amore, Claire Greaney of Scotch Plains and Brittney Wilson of North Plainfield (girls' tennis) and Michelle Afflu of Edison, Lara Albrechcinski of Linden and Melanie Davis of Metuchen (volleyball).
