EDISON, NJ -- Brooke Sutton of Westfield, a senior at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, was honored with the Caring Award at the 29th annual Recognition Program held at Middlesex County College on April 14. This award is given in recognition of outstanding service to our communities and those in need with no desire of personal gain or anticipation of acknowledgement.

Brooke was selected because of her generosity of spirit with a young girl with Down Syndrome, adults with autism and Down Syndrome, her work in a soup kitchen, as well as her active participation in Club Interact, Wardlaw-Hartridge’s community service club.

Brooke is always willing to jump in and lend a helping hand with no questions asked, and she will continue to take action throughout college at High Point University. Volunteering not only makes her feel good, but also makes her believe she can make a difference.
