Each year the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District’s Chemical Dependency Awareness Committee designates a week in the Spring as Think Purple week. All schools participate in activities to remind students of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. At Park Middle School, Homeroom doors are decorated by students to enforce this message. A winner from each grade level is selected and receives a special breakfast at school sometime in the future.
