SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Raider wrestling improved to 6-5 on the season as Scotch Plains-Fanwood defeated New Providence, 45-18, on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

Before the match, both teams participated in a Salute to Service Wrestling Match, a combined effort of SPFHS Coach Marc Fabiano and New Providence Coach John Scholz.

"We honored those who have served our country and the police, firefighters and EMT's from the communities," Coach Fabiano said. "It was a very special night tonight for the community and wrestlers. It is always a nice thing to honor those who serve, protect, and help our communities and country."
