SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The NJSIAA has announced the seeds for this week's Region 4 tournament at Union High School. The wrestlers advanced by finishing in the top three spots in the District Tournament held at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School on Saturday.

"Each of the six guys that made it to regions is peaking at the right time," said Raiders wrestling coach Marc Fabiano. "At this point in the season, you need to give everything you have for the full six minutes of each match. That is what we are focusing on mentally at each practice. One match at a time."

The coach is particularly proud of the team's junior co-captains Jack Cannon and Nick Palazzolo, who both battled back from injuries that derailed their sophomore seasons. Sam Wustefeld, the third co-captain, is seeded No. 1 in the tournament and has a 35-3 record this season.
