SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - The Union Catholic boys soccer continued its hot streak when the Vikings celebrated Senior Day with a 5-0 victory over Roselle Catholic on Wednesday in Scotch Plains.

The Vikings are now unbeaten in their last six games and will bring a record of 5-2-1 into its matchup with Johnson in the opening round of the Union County Tournament this Saturday in Clark at noon.

UC received goals from Matthew Costeira, Alex Taaffe, Erick Fraga, Ethan Scariati, and Frankie Ferreira, and Thomas Bonner was strong in goal as he made eight saves to earn the shutout win over RC.

Before the game, Union Catholic honored its four senior players (Kyler Montague, Keshon Rodgers, Frankie Ferreira, and Derick Calderon), and the five senior members of the cheer squad (Alexandra Cooperman, Lailah Foote, Khaliah Simpkins, Maya Wilson, and Madison Perre.   

Thanks to the seniors for their commitment to the soccer and cheer programs.
