FANWOOD, NJ – The Carriage House Poetry Series and the Fanwood Shade Tree Commission are sponsoring the 2018 Carriage House Poetry Prize with a first prize of $300 plus publication of the winning poem in the autumn edition of Tiferet Journal.

Poets are invited to enter one or two poems – 40 lines or less each. There is a $5.00 entry fee for each contestant. The $5.00 entry fee (check or money order only) should be payable to the Borough of Fanwood. “Poetry Contest” must appear in the subject line.

Each poem must be single-spaced on a separate sheet of paper. Submit two copies of each poem; one copy with the poet’s name, address, phone number, and e-mail address in the upper right corner, the other copy without the poet’s name and address, so judging will be “blind.” Judges will not know the name of the poem’s author.
