SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- After doing her part toward the Lady Raiders Basketball Team's four-game winning streak, Emily Friscia is this week's Joint Motion Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week.

Averaging 11 points 2 assists and 5 rebounds over each of the four wins during the team's streak, her biggest game came onFeb. 16 in a 10-point victory over Governor Livingston after losing to them in their last meeting. During the game, Friscia posted 16 points,1 assist, and 8 rebounds.

"Emily has taken great strides to be our leading scorer this year. She has become a more confident shooter and has an innate ability to get to the basket," said girls basketball coach Ryan McKenna. "Outside of one game this season, Emily has scored 9 or more in each game. After we lost to Governor Livingston on Feb. 12, she came back to score 16 to secure a win against them the following Tuesday."

The Raiders (10-2) are currently on a six-game winning streak:

The team has three games remaining: Monday, March 1, at Plainfield (7:00 p.m.), Tuesday, March 2, vs. Summit (4:00 p.m.), and Thursday, March 4, vs. Hillside (4:00 p.m.).
