Learn to Make Paperback Hedgehogs at the Scotch Plains Public Library

On Friday, Nov. 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the Scotch Plains Public Library, learn how to turn an old paperback into a hedgehog, just like the ones at the Reference Desk. Space is limited. Advanced registration is required, in order to make sure everyone gets a book.

This week's parshah, Shemini, introduces the Torah's dietary laws. Animals must chew their cud and have split hooves to be kosher, fish need fins and scales, and a list of forbidden fowl is enumerated.
