The Strong Minds Initiative

Held at the Fanwood/Scotch Plains YMCA on July 19th from 5-7 pm, this indoor health exposition features table-top booths and demonstrations by acupuncturists, nutritionists, psychologists, clinical therapists, community health centers and others who offer services pertaining to mental health illnesses and disorders.

The project is primarily directed towards adolescents and young adults, which is the most affected age group, but is open to all those who need it. Issues such as depression, anxiety and suicide/self-harm prevention are among those that will be addressed. There is no cost to attend the Strong Minds Initiative, and membership to any YMCA is not required.
