The Scotch Plains Public Library is the place to be on Monday afternoons in August!

On Monday, August 20 at 3:00 p.m., the library will be hosting its own version of “Cupcake Wars” with cookies. Each player will receive a cookie and a theme, and the person to best decorate their cookie to the theme will win. Registration is required and will begin on Monday, August 13 at 11:00am.

​On Wednesday, August 22​ at 6:00 p.m., the teen librarian will be leading the group in making “brinner” (breakfast for dinner). Sample some favorite breakfast foods and learn how to use an electric griddle. There will be eggs and dairy in this cooking class. Registration will begin on Monday, August 13 at 11 am.

UNION COUNTY, NJ – Two kilograms of heroin were seized from an Indianapolis man traveling through Union County last week on Route 22 in Union, according to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office.
