SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- If there has ever been a time for some comic relief, 2020 is the year. The Township of Scotch Plains plans on hosting a comedy event, "Laughs on the Green" on Friday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Alan Augustine Green. 

It will be a socially distanced community comedy event. Reservations are suggested because of limited space due to social distancing requirements. Reserve a spot by visiting the Community Pass. For more information please call the Department of Parks and Recreation at 908-322-6700 Ext. 220.

Emcee Linette Palladino is a stand-up comedian, Army veteran and young mom, who manages to hit the stage at night, fulfill her military duties, and care for her baby daughter. After her full military service, Linette used her skills doing special assignments during the day and stand-up comedy at night. In between all that, she got married and had a baby. A remarkable women with a remarkable story. 

James Camacho is a NYC-based comedian who has performed at The Comic Strip Live, Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Dangerfield's, and LoL Times Square Comedy Club. He also performs on the road all over the country. A finalist on New York's Got Talent 2 years in a row, he was featured in the Burbank Comedy Festival, Hoboken Comedy Festival, and the first ever Stand Up NY Comedy Festival. He is a single, half-Chinese and half-Puerto Rican only child from New Jersey. His uniqueness, likeability, and point of view make him one of the country's most interesting young comedians.
