SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Despite a smaller number of bands participating this year, the annual Marching Band Home Show brought out large crowds to see Scotch Plains-Fanwood perform and other schools compete.

Westfield was crowned the overall Best Band. Other winning bands were East Brunswick, West Orange, and  Montgomery.

"This show was different from Home Shows in the past because the students got to watch each other perform and appreciate the performances by their peers," said marching band director Durand Thomas. "When we had larger numbers, there wasn't time for it."
