Do you like talking about books, but prefer to make your own reading choices? On Monday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m., the Scotch Plains Public Library will host a virtual Bagels & Books program via Zoom, where book-lovers can share what they have been reading or listening to and can pick up suggestions for future reading. This month, the group will also discuss abandoned books that deserve a second chance. Don’t miss the opportunity to pick up some great reading ideas! Registration is required. Registered participants will receive a Zoom link via email a day or two in advance of the meeting.

On Monday, April 12 at 7:00 p.m., the Evening Book Club will discuss The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson.  In this work of narrative nonfiction, Erik Larson shows, in cinematic detail, how Churchill taught the British people "the art of being fearless."

On Tuesday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m., the Afternoon Book Club will discuss All the Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation by Rebecca Traister. All the Single Ladies is a remarkable portrait of contemporary American life and how we got here, through the lens of the single American woman.
