SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Led by Fanwood's business development consultant Liz Jeffery, a number of the borough's business leaders met this week at Mara's Cafe to discuss upcoming plans to promote businesses downtown.

Fanwood will have a number of exciting events planned to draw people downtown, including Rockin' for Autism (April 14), the ever-popular Ladies Night Out (June 5), June 26 Party in the Park, Tuesday Movie Nights, and Fanny Wood Day (Sunday, Sept. 16). The borough is also planning a number of events at the newly renovated plaza behind the Martine Ave. retail stores.

In conjunction with the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (GWACC), the borough will hose the second annual FanJam, (Sunday, July 8), a family event featuring food trucks, non-stop live music, kids' rides, activities, a classic car show, and a marketplace of vendors.
