WESTFIELD,NJ—On Monday, Jan. 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., current and future members of the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce are invited to enjoy wine tasting and networking at 16 Prospect Wine Bar & Bistro in Downtown Westfield.

Wine, hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages are included, and a cash bar will be available for other drinks.

The cost to attend is $10 for current members, $15 for future members—all of which will go directly to the GWACC, as all of the complimentary food and wine is being donated by 16 Prospect.

“It’s a chance for us to give back,” said Tim Boyle, who co-owns 16 Prospect with his brother, Chris Boyle. “I can tell you that the chamber definitely has a positive impact not only on us but on the town as a whole. “

While 16 Prospect has hosted GWACC events before, this is the first time the chamber will host a wine tasting there. The idea was all Tim Boyle’s, according to GWACC Executive Director Heather Robinson.

“Local business owners and generous hometown guys Tim and Chris Boyle take action to support local commerce by supporting the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce,” Robinson told TAP. “Their marketing savvy is evidenced by the wine tasting theme they suggested when offering up their beautiful restaurant as a meeting place for our January open networking evening event."

“I think the chamber is a great organization, but at times people get kind of numb when they think of networking things. We just wanted to spark a little interest,” said Boyle.

The GWACC serves Westfield, Fanwood, Scotch Plains, Garwood and Mountainside. For more information about this event, contact Jackie Walters at jwalters@westfieldareachamber.com or 908-233-3021. Register for this event online at www.westfieldareachamber.com.
