ALLAMUCHY, NJ -- Over 2,500 Scouts and adult volunteers -- including 40 from Scotch Plains-Fanwood Troop 104 -- gathered for a weekend at The Fields of Waterloo in Allamuchy Township for Jersey Jam, a Scouting jamboree hosted by Patriots' Path Council in October.
 
Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, Sea Scouts, and friends of Scouting traveled from as far as Pittsburgh and New York to join several thousand participants October 4-6 for a weekend of activities, demonstrations, camping, entertainment and camaraderie.

Most participants arrived Friday night and camped the whole weekend while others arrived Saturday as day visitors.  Saturday's activities took place at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation and historic Waterloo Village. 

 
Activities included attractions such as a wood and rope bridge, helicopter landings and tours, ATV riding, shooting sports, mountain biking, and much more. Other activities were provided by vendors and the Jersey Jam staff and included knife making, glassblowing, STEM demonstrations, State Police demonstrations, games and more.
 

An evening show featured attending Scouts participating on stage in friendly challenges. Later, Reading, PA-based pop band Go Go Gadget performed live, covering songs spanning multiple generations and genres. The evening entertainment ended with a fireworks display.
