SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- New York Times bestselling author, illustrator and cartoonist George O'Connor will be this year's author visitor at Terrill Middle School on Monday, March 18, 2019.

O'Connor is a Greek mythology buff and a classic superhero comics fan. His mission is to remind us how much today's pantheon of superheroes (Superman, Batman, the X-Men, etc.) owes to mankind's original superheroes: the Greek gods. His best-selling OLYMPIANS series retells classic Greek myths in comics form.

O'Connor draws from primary documents to reconstruct and retell the classic tales. The stories are not scholarly works; they're action-packed, fast-paced, high-drama adventures, with monsters, romance, and not a few huge explosions.

During his visit, the author will sign books for the Terrill staff and students. The school will not be doing a preorder. If you would like him to sign a book for your child, please purchase one on your own. (It will be signed on the day of Mr. O'Connor’s visit.) Books are available for purchase on Amazon.com, BN.com, and other booksellers.
