SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Education Enrichment Foundation (EEF) of Scotch Plains-Fanwood 6th Annual Beefsteak Dinner and Grant Awards Ceremony was held on Friday, Feb. 22 at The Italian American Club in Scotch Plains.
The winter fundraiser drew a big crowd of over 200 guests who enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Nightengale Catering, mingled with friends and participated in an amazing Tricky Tray with baskets, items and experiences valued at over $11,500. Ono Bowls of Westfield was also on hand to provide delicious acai bowl dessert samples towards the end of the evening
The highlight of the evening was the Grant Awards Ceremony, where the EEF Awarded ten grants to 18 of Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s Teachers and/or Principals. Winners this year included:
- Michelle Arminio and Erica Toto of Park Middle School;

- Dr. Jocelyn Dumaresq of Park Middle School;

The EEF awarded a total of $9,172 in grant funding this year -- its highest amount ever.

The Education Enrichment Foundation of Scotch Plains-Fanwood (EEF) is a volunteer organization that works with the Scotch Plains-Fanwood teaching staff, school administrators & Board of Education to enrich and advance the cause of excellence in education for SPF students. The mission of the Education Enrichment Foundation of Scotch Plains-Fanwood is to strengthen the learning experience and inspire the students of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District for success. Their vision is to develop curious, creative and confident learners and leaders. The EEF has created several programs to support educators in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District, including its Educator Grant program, the LTC 100 Middle School Student Leadership Program and the upcoming, inaugural Middle School HackSPF program (March 9, 2019). The EEF also organizes annual fundaraising events to help fund these programs, including a Wine Tasting event in the fall and the upcoming Music Fest event in the spring (April 27, 2019).
